About ECOSMA
ECOSMA is a 3-year project of CRM – Coastal Research & Management/ Kiel dealing with the ecological certification of sustainable marine aquaculture. The project is partly financed from year 2009 – 2011 in the framework of the EU environmental programme “LIFE+ – Environment Policy and Governance 2007”.
ECOSMA is a Weblog for promoting sustainable aquaculture in Europe, driven by the company CRM – Research & Management, based in Kiel, Germany.
ECOSMA serves as a platform for the identically named EU-funded LIFE+ project “ECOSMA – Ecological Certification of Mariculture Products”.
ECOSMA assists the establishment of the recently introduced ecological certification of aquaculture products within the EU regulation no. 834/2007).
ECOSMA is open for all participation of actors and vital discussion on sustainable aquaculture.
